Filtering important emails from other types of emails, such as a newsletters, ads, requests for donations, etc. Snoozing emails ranks at the top of my list for a useful feature, useful for not only processing emails, but also for setting reminders. If you happen to be an Android user and a Google Inbox diehard, you might find a silver lining in Spark's release. For me, there are three major Mac mail client features that make Spark (one of my favorite apps of 2019) and Mail Pilot useful for managing emails and getting my inbox to zero. The timing of Spark's release on Android is especially fitting given that Google Inbox gets the axe today.

The app is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, but you can pay to unlock additional productivity and collaboration features. The productivity focus is fitting given that Spark is developed by Readdle, the company behind efficiency apps like PDF Expert, Calendars 5 and Documents by Readdle. The app comes with smart notifications and lets you sort mail by categories like personal, work and newsletters, letting you prioritize - and maybe even clear - your inbox.

It's not easy for third-party email apps to compete with the likes of Gmail and Microsoft Outlook, but Spark has built a reputation for organization. Until now, Android users were left in the dark, but as of today, Spark is officially available in the Google Play store. For years, iOS and macOS users have had access to Spark, an organization-focussed email app.
